Encrypted in transit
Everything you send to Billbooks is protected with modern TLS (TLS 1.3 at our edge) on a publicly trusted certificate, so you always know you are on the real Billbooks and not an impersonator.
We never store card numbers
When your customers pay, their card details go straight to the payment gateway (Stripe, PayPal or Braintree). Billbooks keeps only the last four digits and a gateway reference, never the full card number.
Backed up daily, off-server
Your data is backed up every day, integrity-checked, and stored off the server on Amazon S3 with a 7-day retention window, so a single server failure cannot lose it.
Behind a strict firewall
Web traffic reaches Billbooks only through Cloudflare. The origin server is not directly reachable from the public internet, and administrative access is protected against brute-force attempts.
Restricted, logged staff access
Customer records are accessible only to authorised Billbooks staff through an internal tool, and administrative actions are recorded.
